4. Port Dundas

Port Dundas was a huge stoneware pottery boasting 17 kilns

Port Dundas Pottery had seventeen kilns and 4 chimneys making it one of the largest of Glasgow’s potteries. Port Dundas pottery was established in 1828 and produced stoneware beer bottles, jam jars and whisky flagons, amongst other products and initially salt glazed and later bristol glazed their ware. Port Dundas exported huge amounts of stoneware across the world to countries like Argentina, Cuba, Australia and Norway.
